Nicole Leigh

Hello! My name is Nicole Leigh, and I am a passionate and skilled digital and traditional sketch artist from New York. I am a proud graduate of CUNY Queens College, where I received my Master’s in Art in Teaching: Adolescent Visual Art Education (K-12), and graduated magna cum laude.
I have always been passionate, not only about my own work, but the artistic expression of others. I have experimented with many different art mediums, and am skilled in digital, sketch-work, photography, and sculpture. My passion for the stories of artistic expression drove me to peruse my Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Museum Professions from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
To create and edit my illustrative works, I use my knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud's Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Clip Studio Paint and Corel After Shot. For my traditional pieces, I work with a variety of ink, oils, acrylics, pencils, charcoal and pastels.
Now that I have completed my formal education training, I am ready to lead, guide and collaborate with my future students as we embark together in the act of artistic creation. Over my career, I have helped maintain and build in-person and digital classrooms, thanks to my experience as a student teacher, and working as a Head Art Teacher at Bellmore-Merrick-Child-Care throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I also have great experience working as a leave replacement in two different Long Island school districts.
